How do I register for my UC Center Sacramento classes?
Find your campus below and contact the corresponding person. She will be able to advise you about which courses to register for, discuss any additional campus-specific requirements that might be involved, and guide you through the registration process.

Who do I speak to about the amount of financial aid I can receive while I'm in Sacramento?
Find your campus below and contact the corresponding Financial Aid Officer. She or he will be able to advise you about how much aid you can receive for your Quarter, Semester, or Summer in Sacramento.

What can I do to facilitate my internship placement in Sacramento?
The best thing a Scholar Intern can do to help the UCCS staff with her or his internship placement is to meet all program deadlines and be as responsive as possible in the telephone, email, and in-person advising sessions that will occur in the weeks leading up to the Quarter or Semester in Sacramento. As part of the internship placement process, you will be providing UCCS with an updated resume and an internship information sheet. The sooner we have that material from you, the sooner we can get started on placing you in an internship that fits your needs.

Can I participate in back-to-back Quarters or Semesters at UCCS?
Yes, if it fits into your academic plan. You will have to reapply with your home campus and , if admitted, may stay at your current internship or start at a new internship depending on your desires and the need of the internship provider.

I am having trouble finding a sublettor for my apartment near my home campus for while I'm in Sacramento and I can 't afford paying double rent. What should I do?
Finding someone to take over your lease while you're in Sacramento can be challenging. Here are some things you should try:

  1. Email Joaquin Feliciano or Sheng Lin to inform them of your situation. They can check with current the current group of Scholar Interns to see if any of them will be returning to your campus at the end of the term and are in need of housing.
  2. Put up a listing for your place on your local craigslist site. Craigslist is becoming one of the most popular ways for people to find roommates and temporary housing.
  3. Create a listing on the Local Housing Board. Listings on this site are by campus and are perused heavily by visiting international students and scholars as well as students leaving and returning from Education Abroad.
  4. Contact your campus' Student Housing Office and International Student Office. They often keep lists of people looking for short term places to stay.
